Interfacing to USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps requires some specialised devices.
UTMI
Intel introduced the USB2.0 Transceiver Macrocell Interface (UTMI) specification for allowing USB2.0 devices to be built using ASIC and FPGA etc. technology that can clock at lower speeds (eg. 60MHz for an 8-bit parallel bus).
A low pin count version of UTMI is ULPI.
