The platform we are going to construct uses the processor of Intel Atom D510.
Main reasons for choosing this processor:
- Dual core which is necessary for this low performance processor to perform reasonable tasks.
- Atom D510 supports upto 4GB memory, 64-bit (top of all atom series).
- D510MO motherboard has better balance between overall energy rating and performance among commercial Atom motherboards we know. D510MO
- All dual cores of Atom family have on core GPUs (Turning off is possible).
